Trip Overview

Annapurna Region is popular for many trekking routes  like Annapurna Base camp , the circuit, gorepani poon hill trek , panchase etc but Mardi Himal trekking is just officially opened for the tourist in 2012 and still pristine. This trek is a good alternative to escape away from the crowded treks of Annapurna Region. Mardi Himal trek is a hidden Gem only few of the tourist have visited it which is situated just east of the Annapurna Base Camp trek. Mardi Himal trek offer amazing  view of Annapurna, Dhaulagiri, Machhapuchre and Manaslu ranges. 

The trail goes along small winding paths, through magical rhododendron forests until you climb out of the forest at an elevation around 3,300 m. The landscape changes quite abruptly into a rugged high mountain landscape, with amazing views of Mardi Himal, Machapuchre, Annapurna South and Hiunchuli. The Trek can be started from Fedi , Kande or Nayapul regarding your trip days.

There are simple Guest houses along the trial but will be enough for the overnight stay serving you organic vegetables and a good food.


Day 1 : Arrival at Tribhuvan International Airport ( kathmandu ) Transfer to Hotel.

Day 2 : Sightseeing around Kathmandu Valley (Pashupatinath/ Bouddhanath/ Swyambhunath)

Day 3 : Flight to pokhara-drive kande- trek Pitam(deurali) 2100m 3hrs

Day 4 : Deurali - Forest camp (2550 m ) 4-5 hrs

Day 5 : Forest Camp - Low Camp (2990 m) 4 hrs

Day 6 : Low Camp - High camp (3580 m) 3-4 hrs

Day 7 : Day Hike to Mardi Himal Base camp (4500 m) - return High Camp (3580 m) 4-5 hrs 

Day 8 : High Camp - Sidhing (1850 m) 5 hrs

Day 9 : Siding - Lumre 3 hrs - Drive to pokhara

Day10 : Back kathmandu
